How a dive works
A dive is one stretch of study with a clear end. There is no focus score to chase and no penalty for putting your phone down: the dive counts every minute it runs.
Choose what you study
Name the subject, then turn the dial to the length you can commit to, from a quick fifteen minutes to a long evening session.
Descend
The timer runs whether your screen is on or off. Once you allow it, the Android app blocks social media, games and video for the whole dive.
Surface with a catch
You earn one XP for every minute studied, your companion grows, and each fifteen minutes lands a fish in your inventory.
A companion that grows as you study
Choose one of 32 ocean companions, from an axolotl to a manta ray. It levels up with the minutes you put in, and every companion keeps its own level, so switching never throws your progress away.
Your ocean fills up
Fish you catch go to your inventory. Put your favourites in the aquarium: it holds five to begin with and two more every five levels, so the tank grows with the hours you study.
Keep a streak by diving at least once a day, and plan your week in the calendar so tomorrow's dive is already waiting.
The fish codex, with real odds
The codex holds 50 species across five rarities. Every fish you catch rolls exactly the odds printed in the app, at every level.
Bad luck has a floor: go ten fish without a rare and the next one is rare or better, and a legendary is guaranteed within forty.

Not every subject suits one long timer, so ProofGrade includes five well-known study methods, and every one of them earns XP.

One account works in both. The web app is the easiest way to start; the phone app is where the strictest dives happen.

Questions
Is ProofGrade free?
Yes. ProofGrade is free to use and is supported by ads. In the Android app you can choose to watch an ad after a dive to double the XP it earned.
Do I need an account?
No. You can start as a guest and study straight away. Add an email and password later to keep your progress safe and use it on another device.
What happens if my screen turns off during a dive?
Nothing bad. A dark screen is a phone put down while you study, so the dive keeps running and every minute counts.
Why do web dives not count for the leaderboard?
A browser cannot see or block other tabs and apps, so a web dive is a timer you keep yourself. It still earns XP, grows your companion and keeps your streak. The weekly board ranks dives from the phone app, where distracting apps are blocked, so every student is measured the same way.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, from Settings in the app, or by following the steps on the account deletion page. Your study history and progress are deleted with it.
